Review:

To be honest, I was more than a little hesitant to try out this novel. I was worried that it would feel forced and fake like published fanfiction. And while it wasn't a masterpiece, it was definitely a book that I'm glad I requested and read. On Fire was fun to read, intriguing and definitely a story that I won't soon forget.

I started into this novel not having watched Teen Wolf. Don't gasp at me! I didn't realize that I was missing it in my life! About halfway through On Fire, I put it down and watch the first few episodes of season one. AND THEN: I was hooked. So basically, it's all Nancy Holder's fault for my latest obsession.

This book was a lot of fun to read. I've never read a book based off of a movie or television series before, but I'm glad I did in this case. This twist of the plot was intriguing and kept my interest until the very end. I loved the characters (and hated some of the characters) as much as I do in the show. Ms. Holder was spot on in her writing. This novel really felt like it could be an alternate reality. Plus, the setup and execution of this novel were done wonderfully. All of the information you need to understand what occurred before the story took place and about the characters is expertly woven into the story. It doesn't feel forced or like a summary at all. That was one that I was really happy about. I didn't feel like I was eating information. As the story progressed, so did my knowledge about the characters and the past.

Things this book made me realize:
*I will always hate Kate. I wish she would die a thousand painful deaths.
*I still don't like Allison.
*Stiles is the greatest character ever.
*Derek and Stiles need to get together. They are seriously MFEO (Meant For Each Other).
*Kate sucks.

So if you are a fan of Teen Wolf, or even if you are just curious about the show, you should give this book a try. A lot of people will enjoy this. I know I did! I can't wait to see what Ms. Holder comes up with next. A DEREK/STILES/STEREK BOOK?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  1. I HAVE NEVER SEEN TEEN WOLF EITHER.

    *crickets*

I don't know why, because I really like werewolves and I hear book and movie were both fun! Sounds like this book was, too. :)
