Top Ten Tuesday (6)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly Tuesday meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.
The prompt for this week is Top Ten Books that were Totally Deceiving.

1. Cheesy Romances
Many of these are just based on sex and are more of a PWP (porn without a plot) than a story.

This book was horrible. I hated it. All it is about is a whiny, Caucasian, Christian woman. It's an immature and selfish  memoir.

I had to read this for a Communications class. It has an interesting premise, but the entire book - if you can call it that - is about a woman complaining and insulting tourists.

Great, intriguing cover. Boring storyline.

I was hoping this would be an emotional story with a great ending. Horrible ending. I don't even want to talk about it. (Obviously, miracles don't exist. >:( )

The book really strays off the summary. It couldn't keep my attention.

It has a great concept and sounded great. It fell flat.

I was bummed when this turned into a PWP (porn without a plot). Great cover and great summary.

I had heard awesome things about this book and thought the plot was really neat, but it just got ridiculous at points. I haven't like any of L.J.'s work.

My friends on Goodreads, overall, have said amazing things about this. I pumped myself up for it. I shouldn't have...
