Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly Tuesday meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

The prompt for this week is Top Ten All Time Favorite Characters!

Be forewarned, most of my favorite characters are male... because I just love boys. ;)

1. Finnick Odair - The Hunger Games

He's probably my favorite character in the series. I love his personality and his backstory! I wish there was an entire book devoted to him and what happens after the series was completed. I follow-up of the Odair family would be amazing! (Also, they should cast Garrett Hedlund as him. That's my dream. I'd be the happiest person ever. JUST CAST GARRETT.)

2. Cinder - The Lunar Chronicles

She's a great female character and plays the lead role in one of the best books that I've read this year. She has a great voice and is easy to read from. I adore her and am literally dying to read the next part of her story (though it is told from a different perspective).

3. Prince Kai - The Lunar Chronicles

He's a great guy. Seriously, I love him and how much he adores Cinder. I can't wait to see how the drama will play out in book two. I know that he'll put it together and realize what is going on. CINDER LOVES YOU AND YOU LOVE HER. LET'S JUST BE TOGETHER AND HAPPY AND STUFFS.

4. Augustus Waters - The Fault In Our Stars

I don't even know what to say about him. God, he just broke my heart and quickly back together. Repeat this at least twelve times. He's one of, if not, the best teenage male character ever. John Green really knows what he's doing.

5. Hazel Lancaster - The Fault In Our Stars

Hazel is the strongest female character I've ever read. She doesn't use knives or guns or arrows to fight, she uses her body and her will to live. I loved her point-of-view and the realism that she protrayed. This book was so hard to read because of the idea of it and what the story was about, but because of Hazel, you can't put it down.

6. Cat Crawfield - Night Huntress

I love, love, love Cat. She's witty and usually pretty smart, plus she has a smoking hot husband and the sarcasm of a fiend. Her series is great fun and easy to read!

7. Michael McCready - Bonds of Earth

Michael is from one of my favorite books. It's based on homosexual relations, so it's not for everyone. Michael is amazing. I love him so much and wished him all the happiness in the world. Luckily for my sanity, he got it. What I loved most about him was his strength and his will to be himself. 

8. Rowan - Wanderlove

Rowan is a complete tool at the beginning of this book, but he really grows on you. I loved him the entire time. His exotic stories and the background of his life. He made me swoon because he was a bad boy and an experienced traveller. Plus... he had a hot bod.

9. Georgia & Shaun - Newsflesh Trilogy

I can't even give them two places in this Top Ten, because I think of them as a pair, a duo. They will never be seperated, not even in death. They are very dear characters to me and part of my favorite (and the best) zombie series. They are both so smart and loyal and strong. I absolutely adore them!

10. Eugenides - The Queen's Thief

Such an amazing character. He's hard to understand and he definitely develops and changes, but he's one of the best characters ever written in a young adult fantasy novel. The plot and awesomeness of this novel really gets you involved in its characters, too. I don't know what to say besides, I love Gen and always will. I need the next book now - BUT THERE ISN'T EVEN A RELEASE YEAR YET. My life is so hard.

Review:

Unbreak My Heart is a endearing story about growing up and making mistakes.

The main character, Clementine, Clem for short, is really sad because she just lost a bunch of her friends because of an incident with her best friend's boyfriend and now she has to go on a boating trip for the whole summer with her family. It obvious that she is not thrilled - what teenager would be?

I liked Clem, but I didn't love her. She was often whiny and the way she described her best friend, Amanda, only made me hate her. Amanda is a horrible friend. Horrible. And the fact that everything that happened made Amanda push Clem away instead of her boyfriend, Ethan, was ridiculous and juvenile. So, she's a typical teenage girl and as harsh as it is, I hate Amanda. Clem is really dramatic. She basically thinks that her live is over because of one mistake. She often seemed younger than what the author tried to write her as. I feel terrible for her though. I know what it's like to be alienated by the people you thought were your friends. It's very hard and that's why I hated middle and high school.

Clem's family was great. This is the first story that I've read in a while that has two parents that are in a happy relationship. That was refreshing. I enjoyed reading about Clem's little sister, Olive. (Her parents must be obsessed with food!) Olive also seemed much younger than her supposed ten years. They all support and seriously love Clem. They understand that no matter what Clem does, they will always love her. Nothing she can do will make them hate her or think she is a bad person. Everyone makes mistakes and her family really understands that.

James is great. He is the perfect guy for Clem, at this point in her life. He really brings out the best in her and makes her happy. He makes me happy, too! He is an amazing guy and I would love to have him as a friend. Plus, he's a ginger. Nothing is better than a redheaded love interest! He is a good comedic relief for this story, which has an angsty plot. 

This definitely wasn't my favorite book, but is a nice, short book that is sure to make anyone smile.

Q. Fight! Fight! If you could have two fictional characters battle it out (preferably from books), who would they be and who would win?

A. Hmmm... This is such a weird question. I love it! I think I would have Allie from The Immortal Rules battle it out against Katniss from The Hunger Games. I'm sure Allie would win, but it would be such an interesting fight. Katniss would definitely hold her own, but I'm pretty positive that the supernatural would win!

The Immortal Rules is a adrenaline-pumping, action-filled novel that is sure to be enjoyed by vampire lovers!

What a way to start a story! Ms. Kagawa is not afraid to dive right in and that is something to admire.

Allison or Allie as she is called in the beginning is the main character and she is not exactly a nice person. In the beginning, I didn't like reading from her point of view because all her thoughts were negative. Though it was great to read about a character who loved to read and risked her life by doing so. That's my kind of girl. I'm sure we would've been friends, if she could stop being so mean.

This book is so gory and frightening! I normally don't read horrors novels and even though this isn't classified as a horror story, it definitely has elements in it that make it a horror. I had heard so many  good things about this that I had to give it a try! I'm so glad I did. I LOVED the gore and action in this novel. I literally became hooked on it. Allison is hardcore and an amazing fighter. I was captivated by her action scenes.

What I noticed? Julie Kagawa likes the word "glass." She especially likes "broken glass and windows." After a while, it really started to bother me. I counted some form of the phrase "broken glass" twenty times in the first thirty percent of this novel. Much of the author's language is repetitive. I also found a few spelling and grammatical errors, but since this is an ARC, I'm sure they will be fixed for the final copies.

Just after I began this novel, I heard that it was going to be made into a movie. After that news, I actually started to enjoy it more because the way Ms. Kagawa writes gives you great visuals. You can see the story perfectly as it unfolds. I can't wait to see what they can do with this!

I really got into the book about half way through. Allison, which is what she is called by the group she happens upon, really changes. You can see her adjust to being a vampire. Honestly, I think it changed her for the better. She doesn't exactly mature, but she begins to the world and people differently. She begins to care about the welfare of others. That's why I started to enjoy it. Her transformation makes her a likable character.

This book gets pretty angsty at times. I love it! I can't read a book without conflict and this had some great problems and even better villains. Some of the "villains" in this story aren't actually villains, but they definitely aren't good. In this crazy world that Ms. Kagawa created, you can see how people would change. It really makes sense, too.

The ending was very rushed. I pretty much skimmed it, because even through skimming, you could get the gist of the last few major events. I was very annoyed in the change of pace and the lack of my favorite characters. Allison and Zeke were pretty much the main characters, but I wish the author would've included the minor characters more. I loved Kanin and wanted to see more of him.

I am really looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book! This was a good book, not my favorite, but definitely worth reading!
